Thanks for this piece. It's s a sound and well-thought-through rebuttal for Anti-Vaxxholes who believe that they are above the laws of nature. The comment that "anything that even hints at a shared purpose or common goal gives them mental hives. They believe they have special knowledge." resonates with me. I feel that this concept is at the core of the increased polarization we are witnessing. The two camps are:

Group A - those of us who think that they are part of the greater swath of humanity, ––members of the global community and who feel the need to work collectively to address global issues; and

Group B: - those who feel that collectivism is an action by the weak ––the slippery slope toward unwanted social contacts and diminished personal freedoms.

With freedom comes responsibility, the responsibility for all of us, not just a few. If people believe in Life, Freedom and Pursuit of Happiness as a fundamental societal framework, they must also understand that the order of these words is critical. That is, without 'Life,' the other two on this list do not matter. Everyone deserves the right to life, and anti-vaxxers are stealing this right from the rest of us.
